    Very well put Mary.

I am behind you 100% with every pedal stroke, all the way down to Antelope Wells.

Two years ago I watched your transformation from xc racer to 24 hr racer, and the personal transformation you went through- not only on the trail but at home, in the office, and with your friends.

More recently, your commitment to race the Tour Divide brought it all another notch up… and further yet as you made preparations to line up in Banff.

By the time you started on the 13th, I knew that not only you had what it would take to go to battle on the trail, but that you would emerge on the south end a new person- Mary V2.0 if you will… or .0?

I’m so very happy to watch & follow this race & your personal experience. Your already stronger than you were on the 13th. And while there’s a lot of tough riding ahead, I suspect the experience will continue to mature for you. Your head is in the game & you seem to have gained clarity as to what matters & what doesn’t matter to you. That’s beautiful.

Awesome perspective. I know I don’t know Mary, but I can see her Tour Divide experiences and the reflections of Mary V3.0 becoming an important teacher for me.

It isn’t about the destination, it’s about the journey. And what a journey it is!

Wow. I mean just wow Mary. The hurdles you’ve overcome thus far, to ride beyond them – what an incredible resolve you have! As a manic enduro myself, I’m not often inspired by others’ rides – we all suffer, right?

Well girl, your ride is inspiring and then some. I look forward to sharing a beer with Mary v3.0 somewhere down the trail.

Awesome post Mary! Keep that perspective and the miles will just cruise on by. It’s no doubt a tough road ahead but you seen to be in the right frame of mind.

    Mary —

I think your attitude is absolutely awesome! We should all be so lucky to experience something like this in our lives.

We are all completely behind you, Mary. We want you to keep those pedals crankin! If I could ride one hundred miles, just for one single day, I would feel like a hero! You are incredible; a true inspiration not just to other cyclists, but to everyone.

    happy trails!

Mary, there are no words to describe what a great thing you are doing. I have tried to imaging what it must be like for you and what must be going through your head while peddling along. Are you philosophical? Whimsical? Practical? Nutty thoughts, happy thoughts, sad thoughts….Probably a;ll of the above. Just remember that there are a tons of positive thoughts coming your way from IA. We are right there with you cheering you across the miles.

    Happy thoughts!!
